"Saving
one pet won't change the world, but surely the world will change for
that one pet."
"A
meow massages the heart."
Foxtrot is One Lucky Kitty!
This handsome little tiger kitty, Foxtrot, was adopted into a loving home last weekend. What a lucky guy - the photos show just how much fun he is having. Foxtrot came to Cause 4 Paws as a shy little baby, rescued from a backyard in Northern NJ. His 3 siblings were not shy and got adopted very quickly. Foxtrot had to wait for just the right home to come along - someone who would have the patience to let him come out of his shell on his own terms. As you can see, the perfect home has come along and Foxtrot looks like he is living happily ever after! A letter from Patrick, his new owner:
"Just wanted to let
you know that Foxy is doing great. He stopped hiding a couple of days
ago. He's very affectionate, purrs like a little engine. He even played
with my 7 and 9 year old nieces. I think he's going to be very happy
here. Thanks so much for everything. We are all in love and so glad to
have him. I've attached some photos that I took today."
"Little Bit" is More than a Bit Happy!
"We adopted "Little Bit" from you, from the pet store in Madison in 2004, (aka...Nimue). Since then poor Nim has lost her 11 year-old-sister to cancer. But last year she gained a 2 year younger brother (Clive) and recently, a 4 year younger sister (Ruby). Nim has adapted to all of these changes in the household beautifully and is now TOP CAT. She loves to race with both her sibs and has even taken up the role of big sis to her the recently added Ruby. Enclosed are a few pics of our little brood. No longer the dwarf kitten, but a healthy 9 pound cat. Just wanted to give you a little incentive to keep on doing what you guys do. You definitely make families happy and the little homeless ones too. Take care, Christine and Richard"
Firefly Couldn't Be Happier!
Firefly is so very happy to have found a wonderful and loving home with Linda and Kristin. Born in Chinatown in Brooklyn Cause 4 Paws rescued Firefly and brought her into a loving foster home. Now she has a permanent home to call her own! An early Christmas present, Firefly loves her new family -- she is right at home - playing and curling up with her new family.
Peppermint Patty is Home Sweet Home
This lucky little kitty was rescued from a shelter in January. She is now living the life of luxury with her best new human friend and the rest of the family. Doesn't she look absolutely content? This is what makes fostering such a worthwhile endeavor. Thank you to Peppermint Patty's new family for giving her such a wonderful home.

Milo
"Milo is doing very well. The dogs get along great with him. I'm able to leave them all home in the house together without any worries which is a wonderful feeling. How was your Christmas? Mine was pretty good. Just a lot of running around. I just wanted to send you a Christmas picture of Milo with his snowflake shirt. haha =o) Hope you have a wonderful New Year. " Sarah & Milo

Please spay & neuter!
Amazing feline fact #4: If your cat is near you, and her tail is quivering, this is the greatest expression of love your cat can give you. If her tail starts thrashing, her mood has changed --- Time to distance yourself from her.
Did You Know? During her
productive life, one female cat could have more than 100 kittens

Cause 4 Paws, Inc. is a small, all-volunteer feline rescue group. We have been in existence for almost 10 years, any have already found homes for over 1,800 orphaned cats. We rescue cats and kittens from local neighborhoods and area shelters that would otherwise be euthanized. Because we have only 4 foster homes, we are limited in the number of cats that we can take in at a given time, and are always looking for new foster homes so that we can increase our numbers. We offer assistance with low cost spaying and neutering and also provide help to people that are interested in trapping, spaying, neutering, releasing feral cats. Cause 4 Paws, Inc. volunteers can be found just about every weekend at pet stores in Madison and East Hanover showing the foster cats that are looking for homes. We also welcome potential adopters to our homes to see foster cats at other times. Please give us a call or send us an email to find out more about our group, to ask about a cat, or to become a volunteer!
